Susan Koso, Technical Delegate
Susan Koso has been involved with carriage driving since
1981, first as a competitor, then as an organizer, next as Regional Director of
the New England Region of the ADS, followed by becoming a licensed official,
Secretary of the ADS and now an At-Large
Board member. She hold licenses with the
ADS and USEF in Pleasure Driving and sits on the Pleasure Driving Committee and
the Licensed Officials Committee.
Along with Marc Johnson, Susan introduced the sport of Arena
Driving in the U.S.
and is very happy to see that events are now being held coast to coast.
Susan also is involved in the Intercollegiate Horse Show
Association and assists with the team from Endicott College.
Susan is the owner of
an unrepentant Morgan mare, who she competes when said mare is agreeable to
it. She did not own her own horse until
her mid-40’s, although she has ridden since a small child. Her parents thought she would grow up and get
over horses. Apparently not.
